I’m not gonna dicker over whether SJ sucks or not, as I’ve only been there once and didn’t see anything that nasty, aside from an anti-PV thread (which was replying to the anti-SJ thread on this site). So in the interest of fairness, maybe one of you should post a link to the threads where SJ people are doing/saying all these evil things…? Just a thought.

This assumes that everyone going into the above situation has no preconceptions about each other. Law makers and abiders have it drummed into that “ravers have no respect for personal property” “drugs are a social disease” “young people are a danger to the old” etc, while many friends of mine feel that “cops are all assholes who can’t wait to beat you up” with good reason. The tension of these beliefs needs to be dissolved before you can even begin ‘cooperating’ with the police and public.

Having said that the crew at parties I’ve been to try their best to placate and often succeed, but hysteria sometimes prevails.

I’m going to be a big ignoramus and say it, but what rave are you talking about?? Haven’t been in the UK for 2 years but was going to free parties for 8 yrs before that and would LUV it if someone could redirect me to some sort of over/underground link about this event.
